About Us

The History: A unique property that is birthed out of innovation and a heart for gathering the community. The Mohs family created this property to not only store cars and have a space to invent, but the "barns", which house our now Gym and Turf, were used to store and display vehicles. The event building, which we've named Maple Ridge, was where there would be a rotating display of top cars for the month, inviting the community in to gather and enjoy the fun. As time progressed, this space also was home to a German Supper Club as the heart of gathering people to enjoy the fullness of life remained.

After the Mohs family parted ways with the property, the Langlios family caught the heart that was so deeply ingrained into the ground and took the vision from cars to sports and events. The vision of gathering family and inviting in the community. The barns were re-worked into a gym and turf space, while the previous display room and supper club was worked into a general use rec room. From family and friends to youth sport teams or individuals wanting to train, you can run into many around Dane County that have been blessed by the space. 

Focus Sports and Events. In 2025 the Handrick Family established Focus Sports and Events. A family-owned business created by a family that genuinely loves sports and values serving in the community. The location for Focus Sports and Events is located in the perfect place to combine small town roots, open country spaces, and the city life that makes up Dane County. Our backgrounds and experiences are shaped by this mix, and it’s reflected in the environment we’re creating—one that feels welcoming, energetic, and grounded in the local community. 

From casual play to competitive moments, we believe sports and gathering events have a powerful way of bringing people together and creating meaningful connections.

With community at the heart of everything we do, our hope is that Focus Sports and Events becomes a place where people seeking self-growth, social connection, and competitive energy can truly thrive. We desire to build a community of members who, at the center, find focus—around self-discovery, health, and growth—and who are excited to see those same values take root throughout their community.
